About Me

Welcome to my website! Money with James, where I hope to help demystify the often overly-complicated world of money by providing easy to understand and useful posts.

My Background

I started learning about money and wealth creation when I was a young teenager. I read every book and listened to every course I could get my hands on.  After school I completed a bachelor degree at university in business and finance.  I then built a professional career working in banking (starting in wealth management and finishing as a professional equity trader, trading stocks on the biggest trading desk in London).  My career spanned nearly two decades, before I chose to leave the banking world and become a full-time investor and pursue other exciting projects.

I have worked all over the world. In London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo for some of the biggest financial firms in the world.  Including Merrill Lynch; Bank of America; HSBC; ANZ Bank; Royal Bank of Scotland.  Along with my professional experience I have also personally been investing in real estate and the stock market globally for 20+ years.

Why Have I Created This Website?

I do not claim to know everything on the topic of money, or be a world expert in any particular niche, but I do have a true passion for understanding the world of money.  I have spent my entire life trying to understand the topic better, so I hope to share some of my passion and understanding with you in the best way I can.  I also think it can be hard to find reliable and trustworthy sources of balanced information on the topic of money.  Plus, sadly our current schooling system does a rather poor job of setting us up for success in this critical area of life.  So hopefully with this website and my YouTube content I can help!

Please Send Me Questions

I look forward to hearing from you.  Whether you have a specific question or would just like to share your story, or opinion, or views, on money, I welcome you to get in touch.  Even if your opinion is not aligned with my own. Please get in touch using the “Ask James” buttons across my site.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope I can help you, or someone you know, understand the essential life skill of money!
